    Frank's is GONE!

I was deciding on what to do around the shop to clean it up, make some room and what to do about some of my other projects (that are in various stages of completion).

So....... I decided to let the Frank's quad go It's going to a good home. I was going to sell it to the highest bidder but decided to work out a deal with someone that I knew would appreciate it for what it was and wouldn't trash it.

Now, I'll use some of the money to finish up the Franks 3 wheeler (full restore) and finsih a few of the other 3-wheeled projects.

Anyway, here are some better photos of it running and parked. I though I had better run it again before I sold it. It's only the second time I've ridden it! It flat RUNS!

I know it not a 3 wheeler but it History!

    Here are some more....

OH! Do you like the pond and waterfall? Only took 4 years! The pond is 8' deep and 125' wide and 110' long. The waterfall is 65' long and drops 8'.

My wife said to finish the landscaping or she was going on strike!

glad to hear it went to a good home. I thought the trike was a roller? I take it you have another engine? the pipe and rear exhaust port is the coolest. id love to see that thing up close. HH

Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

No, it's complete. Engine, pipe, 2 carbs, spare bottom end, and the 350cc crank and spacer kit. It'll start going through a restoration soon.

There are a few articles about them, that other scanned from magazine articles, do the search. It's a good read. These machines were over $5,500 new in '85 (double the price of a 250R). The came equipped with Magura throttles, Grimeca brakes, Russell braided lines, Lectron carb, Terry Cable cables, O'hlins shocks, Simmons forks, Max Traxx hubs, FinishLine axles, 4130 Cromemoly TIG welded frame, and the list keeps going. They were a real "ready to race machine". Not even the Tiger has this much trick stuff on it.

But then, like now, everyone wanted the trick stuff but wouldn't pony up the money, only a few did. That’s why there were only 4 made using this motor. Talk about rare.
