    Rear end problem ?

I'm not sure if I put everything back properly when I disassembled my '85 BR rear end to clean and paint. No noises, it bangs the rear end when I shift. I've tried adjusting clutch and still shifts hard. Any help would be appreciated !

First check the tension off the chain.
Check the axle bearing for wear and any loose.
    Check the swing arm bearing.

Yea i would say first check the two allen bolts for the chain tensioner and then check the carrier assembly to make sure everythings tightened up

Thanks , Vending Guy. It is definitly shaft driven and I did not replace any bearings while I was in there. It feels more like shaft play, I'll check that also. Thanks again for your input.
