    Why I Like Old Things

Well I love my trikes and will rub it in as hard as I can when they out do shopping carts. My dad bought a 2003 Bombardier Outlander 400 h.o. Had to pay for front shock 7 months into warranty. And this week he noticed around where the floor boards mount up was broke clean off. 10 000$ atv now junk. And he was always saying "is the kawie broke again". No just delayed. I use to work at the place he bought it and they really wont help him out. And its not even paid for yet. So anyone here who is thinking of getting a BRP product. Just remember what that stands for. Bombardier, Recycled Polaris. Enough said. Ill post pics later.

I've given up on new things. I mean anything, not just ATV's. I hate to use such a worn out pun but, "they just don't make 'em like they used to." There is absolutley no pride built into anything anymore no matter how much you pay. It used to be "you get what you pay for", but even that doesn't apply anymore. Nowadays if you pay more, you got ripped off. I'm disgusted with the way everything is made these days. I buy everything possible used. Old stuff from when people gave a crap. I had to but a 40 year old ice cream scoop off ebay after breaking about 10 new ones. I figured I was cheaping out and I'd spend more and more every time, but they were all crap! I'm not huge into icecream, I'm just using this as an example. The whole world has gone disposable, and it sucks. It's mostly Walmart's fault, but also Lowes, Home Depot, and Target. I refuse to shop at Walmart and avoid the other three whenever possible. There's an awsome hardware store in my town. They have everything. But it seems every month there's a new Lowes or Depot popping up 10, 7, 3 miles away. How long until my hardware store closes? Try going to lowes and buying metric hardware. Good fricken luck. Then ask somebody for help if you can't find something. That's like the surgeon asking the patient what to do.

I apologize for ruining your thread, Tecate 250. I just don't like the way things are going these days, and I'm a little coo coo-

While I agree almost 100% with the sentiments above, I can think of one exception. My truck. It's tough as nails and worth (nearly) every penny I paid for it. Apart from that, new == junk IMHO.

I also agree with the BRP thing. My brother-in-law bought one for work and spent more time fixing it that using it. CV joints, water pump, starter, etc. It was a fairly powerful machine. It could pull like crazy but only about one day a week. The rest of the time it was torn apart.
