    wat do i do...

i am buying a 1985 Honda ATC 110 from a friend of mine and when i told my dad he got really pissed at me and now the repair job on my 4-wheeler has been put to a halt... all it needs it tires and he stops. i dont know what to do because my ass of a stepmom keeps telling him stuff and she says its unstable and i should learn to save my money. i just need advice as to wht i should tell my dad so he wont worry about me getting hurt on it as much as he is now and i am not even riding it fast its just for going around in the woods and checking stuff out just need to know wht to tell him to get him off my back about it

why is he getting pissed about a trike? if you are careful and lean when you need to, dont put your foot down. they are really safe. what else did you do? lol

tell him if he doesnt like you ridin the trike then he better fix your quad... then explain to him that a trike is no more dangerous than the decisions of its operator... explain to him that you have a complete understanding and respect for the machine and your intended usage of the trike is harmless

Sadly, there will always be a majority of people that feel trikes are death traps.

I try to convince people that I sold my ported and polished 94CR250 for something I could ride easier - a 350X.... They are all convinced that trikes are extremely dangerous........ But I'd be hurt bad quite often if I still had my CR, I think I watched Jeremy make it too easy too many times. Then I'd show up in the sandpit being a meathead Thank GOD I never tried freestyle HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell him to fix your quad and you both can ride together and have some good father son bonding.

+2 Exactly what I was gonna say, Also you could get him to follow you and he can see they arent that hard to control.

Im 16. I was 15 when I bought my trike. My mum txt dad and asked if trikes are safe and he said "Nathan is not getting a trike" (his phone was playing up and didnt get messages til later) and then she text back and said "too late hes already got one" now he dont mind it he even bought a bike to come out riding with me. Once i got it he just told me to be careful etc.

Dads girlfriend always goes on about how I was disobeying him by getting it but tbh i think she should go to hell.

Remind him that its only a 110 and little kids can handle 110s.

How old are you? You may just have to do odd jobs and pay yourself to get your bikes fixed. If you and your dad ride together will be bonding time plus he'll see that you are riding it right. I'm 52 and I still have to fight the urge to put my foot down on corners. Wear your gear, and don't ride stupid.

So Sandy, you think your quad has a chance of getting fixed by your birthday?, and we seriously need to go riding before school starts back.

I should try that "those things are dangerous and you will get hurt" thing.......I am a 41 year old dad with three kids and I can't ever get to ride my trikes cause the kids are always on them!!!!

my dad owns his own business and i work for him but i dont get treated any different BUT my step-mom takes my check and puts half of it in the bank because i need to "save my money" i dont know wht to do if i say something to her she goes and tells my dad like a little kid and then he yells at me and usually i get punished somewhere in the deal

i wish i could fix my quad by myself but it was his before it was mine and if i take it he will get realy angry and its not really my dad that is worried that much it is my step-mom that is whispering in his ear all the time she is a real *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*
