    85 250r master cylinder

    the rear brake master cylinder in not working on my 1985
    250r. does anyone know if the rear master cylinders are
    interchangeable with any other model? such as 350x
    or a 200x, or even an older 250r 83-84 models. any info
    on this is appreciated. thanks

    cant you just rebuild it i know you can get the 350x rebuilds for like 35 bucks

    Ditto on 250R rebuild kits. I had to do mine a while back and it was easily done in about 30 minutes.

    yeah it can be rebuilt. the kit costs $65 plus shipping.
    i was just trying to save some coin. ebay has some 200x
    and older model 250r master cylinders going for cheap.

    for like $20 or less you can get any newer slightly used dirt bike or quad rear master cyl on ebay and just make a simple plate up like i did.

    i know your rod going down to the pedal is probaly longer then this one but i think they can be swaped out real easy

    If you use a Suzuki Z400 / Kawasaki KFX 400 rear M/C it will bolt right up.
    No mods. I have done this on two of mine. Ahhh, and they were really cheap of off e-bay. I did mod the reservoir line a bit just to be sure. Good luck and hope this helps.
