If i pull start will i need a Cdi?

I have a yamaha 225dx and i believe the all the wiring is fried. I was wondering if there is a way to test the cdi to see if its still good, or if i can just pull start it and not use the cdi or any of that?

CDI is for ignition timing, you need it for it to run.

Well, the bare minimum you need is: the stator, cdi, and coil.
