It is probally on the front where the front forks come into the frame.

84 had shaft drive...if it's chain then it's 83 downward. Post a pick, most of us can tell you by the stickers on the tank. If the stickers are missing on the frame post the VIN I can tell you the year from that.

1983 is the only year they made a 200E I beleive. Possibly 82 also now that I think about it, I should know that!

It's probably an 82.
The 82 ATC200E Big Red VIN are JH3TB051XCC133783 on.
The 83 ATC200E Big Red VIN are JH3TB0519DC203548 on.
I'm not sure why it's got a 0 for the 9th digit. I thought only the last 5 to 6 digits changed.
The 82 has black & silver fuel tank stripes. The Honda tank decal is red with white outline.
The 83 has white, light blue, and dark blue fuel tank stripes. The 83 looks to have an all-white Honda tank decal. The 83 also has dog-leg style brake levers.
