Question has anyone used a dirt bike silencer?

I am looking for a a stock tri-z silencer and have not seen one on ebay for 4 months now so I am looking at other silencers off dirt bikes. I have tested out a pro ciruit with a spark aresster and it worked great but my friend decided to keep it. So, I was wondering if anyone has done this before. anything is better than what I am running right now...so Anyone?

I'd say any 2stroke silencer that would bolt up and fit the stinger would work just fine, they're all pretty much the same.

Man you got me on that one. Basani is well respected old school. Jemco...never even seen one personally, heard of them, but never seen one.

It's a 2-stroke silencer. I don't know if there will be a huge difference between the two brands. It's not the same as a 4-stroke silencer where it makes a large impact on performance...

I am talking about the head pipe by basani or jemco, not interested silencers, I am going with a pro circuit silencer with the sparky on it. Now, which is the better head pipe, basani or jemco?

Define better.. as with anything all you will get is an opinon.. try them both and make your own decision, surely resale will be easy..

    Question Power Band

Their's NO such thing as better or Best in this case

    Your talking about Power Band

    it's 2 Stroke

So what are you looking for - LOW end power , Mid Range , Hi Rev .

If it was me, I would buy a Jemco pipe. regardless of the Power Band.

    I hope u understand

I am a Jemco fan myself. But make sure you get the pipe that fits your riding style or needs first. A pipe will change how the machine acts and where the power is. I would do some research before i bought one. On my 83R i went through 3 diffrent pipes and found out i liked it better stock. Then i gave the pipes to other 3ww members.

Which pro circuit silencer are you running? In other words, if you were to order one today, what other application fits the tri-z? For example, would a silencer for a CR250 fit or a yamaha yz?
