Run it over with a car tire, use a backhoe, use hydraulics from any type of out rigging or go to MR TIRE SHOP.

MR TIRE SHOP always costs money but aggravation costs allot of stress!!

Get another person to run it over with a car or truck. Just work it back and forth add some soap and water to the bead. Just keep working your way around the tire, it will come loose. Put down a rubber mat so you don't mar your rims up.

DONT use a sharp object to try to break the bead...

I used a crow bar thinking it wouldnt hurt it... it worked for 1 tire and I slipped with the other tire and ruined it... it was almost junk anyways tho...

after that I got out mr.sawzall and cut the b!tch off the rim! lol

if you dont care about the old tires you are good for almost anything.... but dont ruin the rim doing it... lol

Taking it somewhere is always easiest... and even they dont have the best luck.... even with the machines... atv tires suck to mount/dismount.

what i did was find an old truck/car tire rimm, place it on top of the tire, then jacked up a f-150 4x4 truck, slid the tire and the old truck rim under the rear chassy, lowered the truck on the rim. then got into the back of the pan of the truck, and started jumpping like hell. after a few jumps, POP!! the bead was broken, then i fliped the tire around and did it to the other side.

I have made really good friends with the fat service writer at walmart. She always gets it done for free but usaully takes all day. It is amazing what a few winks to a fat lady will do.

$80 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh My God. So if i wanted to replace my front tire it would be $160 just for the mounting???? I think i would be finding a Discount Tire or something.

Couldnt you buy a new rim and tire already mounted for what they want just in labor?

the old bumper jack method works for me. if you have a truck that still uses the old style jacks.

If you go to a NAPA store ask them for their tire hardware book. In it you will find a bead breaking tool that they use on car tires. It is about 5 feet tall. it is a big piece of pipe with another pipe in it that slides up and down with a special tip on the end. You basically put it on the bead and slam down the plunger. It sounds kind of lame but i have one and it works. i have also seen it used on 18 wheeler tires. It is the same principle as the crow bar and but safer for your havds and the tire/rim. i think it was like $60.

Buy one of these...... its $40, and I can get any atv/atc tire off in a couple minutess.

    http://hyperracing.com/product.asp?prodid=80-003

It is for 10" rims, but you can make any size you want just by making a new arm, which just consists of drilling a hole in one end and a notch in the other... if any one wants pics let me know..... I was always changin tires for flat track racing and it works great for the harder knobbies too.

Jlatv sells a bead breaker, that is adjustable from 8" to 11 or 12" wheels. It something like $80, well worth it. I have 3- 17" tire iron @ ~$15/each. I got them 2 years ago and lost count of how many tires of mine and friends I took off. I don't have to pay anybody to change tires. If you get the techniche right, atv tires are easy to change. I also do my dirtbike tires myself too, 2 dirtbikes ridden partially on the street, go through tires quick.
