    New stator on 86 T-3. Stil not running right

    I finaly got the time to mess with the Tecate again. I ended up buying the replacement coils from ricky stator, and just soldered them in.

    The bike fired right up. However it has Horrible top end, Bogging in the high Rpm range. I thought maybe because it had sat for a while the Carb was dirty, So I cleaned it, changed the gas, and popped a new plug in it. Stil no luck. It fires right up with no problem.

    Keep in mind before the stator went, this bike was dialed in to the Top notch, Never EVER fouled a plug, and had AWESOME power through out all gears from top to bottom.

    So I guess I'm wondering and have been told that my stator stil has a problem, Could I have wored something wrong?

    what does the spark look like? you took the jets out and blew air thru them? and most important, is it timed correctly?

    I suppose it helps when the fly wheel has thehalf moon key in it.
