    Please Help Me!!

I recently acquired a 1984 honda 200m, in a trade. a while ago, i decided to take it for a ride, and went through about half a foot of water. the water splashed up, and it shut off my bike. i pushed it back to the garage, and took a look at it. Apparently the "Ace" electrician that formerly owned it, completely rewired it with electrical tape. i think i shorted it out, and the fuses got blown. even when i put a new fuse in, it blows immediately. I am planning to rewire it, could someone please try to tell me whats wrong with it, or somehow give me instructions on how to fix it?..i would greatly appreciate it....i love this bike.
P.S It is currently at my dads house right now, so i can not take any pics..i will try on the weekend.

I'll offer my thoughts on your wiring situation. Finding a short on a fuse that is blowing is not that hard. Follow the wires coming from the fuse...one side will come from the source (battery / magneto) the other will be the load side. If it's not smoking the source, then the short must be on the load side of the fuse. Undo what ever is holding the wires together and you will find your short.
I'm not judging you but if your having trouble finding the short then how are you going to be at reading a electrical print? All though the genuis that rewired it trailprotrailpro you go it, might not have done steller wiring job...It runs, and if it runs it must be correct. So instead of working off a print trying to re-wire your trike from scratch, just replace one wire at a time making each connection water tight and go buy yourself some niffty connectors from Radio Shack and have some fun with it!

Hope it helps ....you damn yankee!!! :-D

thank you so much....its not that i had trouble, its the fact that every single wire was covered in electrical tape..i'll take some pictures on the weekend, and post them on sunday...i mean EVERY thing..not just a couple...everything from the battery, to the headlights, and starter. The front shocks are also missing, and there is some other kind of front end welded on.

thank you for helping me, i wouldn't have figured that out (its my first time trying to rewire a bike  ) my plan was to ask my dad to help me if i had trouble. i was going to try to figure the guide out myself, but oh well..i probably won't be able to, but if i get one, i'll give it a shot

thanks for the help, and howdy i will i don't need the wiring harness, but thanks for asking me. i just took all the old tape off the wires, and put new tape on..it seems to work pretty well. My dad also said that since i fixed it myself, that i can have it.....i find that cool, because it is my first trike that i actually own..i will try to put up some pics later.
