1982 yamaha rx50.

fully modded goped.
250cc 4 stroke shifter kart in the process.
Is it a four-stroke? If it is, and the engine always had a good amount of oil in it, wasn't left out in the rain, etc, I would just leave it. Unless you're planning on making the engine some sick race engine, which I doubt, it'll be fine.
On a two-stroke, it's always advisable to replace the bearings, especially one from 1978.
its a 4 stroke and the engine is in decent shape, and no i plan to leave it stock. i dont think ill crack the cases then, thanks tim.

checlk them. if they feel tight (NO PLAY) then let em be. if there even a little loose, replace them since its half apart already.
