    Keyed ignition is melted.. can I hotwire it?

    Small fire, my ignition is too melted to even accept the key, anyone know how to hot wire this:



    Green
    Red
    Black w/ white stripe
    Black

    wont it run with them all just cut like that?

    I am pretty sure it will.

    you need to splice two of them together in order to get lights... probably the red one and .. and dunno what other one.

    If you can find a wiring diagram it would be easy.

    what bike is it?

    normaly the most you need to do is tie 2 or more together
    80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
    90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
    00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
    2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

    I got the starter motor to go, blinkers and horn, no headlight.

    Red and black made these happen.

    Its a Honda Gyro

    those should do it. Maybe you have a bad bulb or a melted wire. Use a continuity tester and find the ground, then hook the others together.
    The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.
