    Aftermarket exhaust 200x

I've been searching around the boards for aftermarket exhaust options and have seen a lot of commenting on the sounds or the cobra steel or aluminum. I'm looking into getting one but how loud are they? I would like something more throaty than the stock one. Reason I'm looking is the stock muffler is cobbled up and showing its age. I really don't want a pipe that sounds like a strait pipe because people will be riding behind me. And it has to have a spark arrester.
    Any suggestions? DG, Cobra, Supertrapp

I'm interested in this as well. I have a guy that is giving me a cobra exhaust. Not sure if it is steel or aluminum though. If you don't find anything out in the next few weeks I'm sure I'll have mine by then with the 200x running and can take a vid for you.

I too am interested in this. I want something that will flow better than stock but not stupid loud. I don't want the fines of riding on the trails with a load pipe. I also want this somewhat quiet, going for the sleeper look and sound as my 200x will have beast engine. If I have to I will build a head pipe and cut up a stock muffler to get what I want. Oh yeah I hate the look and sound of a super trap muffler, hate them!

Cobra has gotten alot of unfair comments, from myself included. They aren't that loud as long as the core is in em. Mine sounds pretty good on my 350x

okay, nobody has done this yet. Why not the crf 230 silencers? head pipes might be a problem but it might work also.

Hey that's a good idea. Are you talking stock or aftermarket? How load are they stock with the baffle, and with out? You might be onto something here.

    Like this?
Kina looks like a lot of fab work just to get an aftermarket exhaust, but it's always possible.

I had a cobra and dg and they just annoyed the hell out of me. I bought a used pro circuit pipe off ebay for cheap, it was for a 400ex. All I had to do was cut the header at the end about 2'' for it to bolt up with the exception of a small hanger bracket. Best 200x pipe I've found yet.
1986 200x- old school D.I.D wheels, Gold D.I.D X-Ring Chain, Rad MFG. Carrier, PRM Grab Bar, Pro Circuit T-4 custom, Maier plastics, 85x forks, 18x10.5x8 kenda klaw mxr's on itp steels, the money pit never ends

2004 YFZ450 - CP 12.5:1, cam mod , gibson nerfs, hmf pipe, protaper bars + risers, dg bumper/skids, holeshot gncc's on itps, cycra handguard and more stuff to come.

I have a cobra alluminum...it isn't worth the alluminum it's made out of. park six bikes all around it...have em all rev...if the 200x revs with the cobra, I'll bet you won't hear any of them. It's obnoxiously loud...like a chevy with straight pipes.

I'll be doing the 450r pipe swap on it I think, or some other stock pipe.

I have a stock 450 R silencer if anyone is interested. $20 plus shipping. I used one on a 350X and it sounded pretty good.
