Do it yourself. It's not that hard. Get some bluing ink and and a dremel. Take your time and feather it to existing with some emery cloth. I don't trust anyone with my machine. But to each his own..Local shop, if you trust them???

About the only porting I would recommend for the average home builder would be "match porting", which is where you just match up the intake port with the intake from the carb. Porting is best left to the professionals. It doesn't take much to ruin a perfectly good cylinder head. Find yourself someone that does it for a living and tell them how you want your trike to perform. If you want overall power or if you want pretty much wide open throttle and the person should be able to help you out. It is costly, but it is better than ruining a perfectly good head. You should also think about having your valve seats recut and new valve guides since you are looking at 20 plus year old heads so everything in your head should be fresh and operating at it's best.

my guy is my buddy that has the 460cc 350x motor i talked about in my ascott head thread.

he does most of my 4 stroke heads and they are as good or better then the top old school motor builders.

he will want to know every little mod you have.... cam specs, carb size, ect....
