Does rails to trails allow 3 wheelers? Do you have to buy a yearly pass like some of the other ride spots?

NO ... it's off limits to all motorized vehicles. (don't ask! lol)
They turned some old railroad beds into hiking/walking trails.... Now it's real hard to get from point A to point B on an atv.

Dang I`m not on here for a few days and I missed alot. Some good riding pics (Thanks for sharing) . Its fun to see how far these threads go, I don`t care who runs up the # of posts on it. Its good that we can get a few guys to ride becuase of them. I wanted to ride over the weekend but it was a little to wet for me and I got to service the dx before she goes out agian. We will get a ride going agian. Jason you blaze it I`ll follow we can make our own trails to rails

rails to trails is something our local lawmakers made... it's a hiking/biking/walking trail that surrounds all of hazleton and surrounding towns. (mostly old railroad beds that, until a few years ago were all well marked atv trails)
now beacuse they have all the trails blocked with posts and gates (along with a million No ATV Allowed signs) it makes it hard to get where you wannago on an atv.
We got lost and backtracked and could not find our way off the hiking trails.. even had an old man shakin his cane at me as I was trying to lift my 350x over a gate. lol
fun times for sure....

We are going through the same thing here with what they're calling "Rails To Trails". We recently lost a trail that was a main artery to several local ride spots. The Town just approved the purchase of a used bridge at taxpayers' cost of $750,000. That doesn't even include the cost to repaint it or install it. It will be used on another section that will shut off a long time used riding area.
If rumors are true the spot behind my house will be next. People have been riding there for 35 years.
This is were we have our rides for our annual Ride and Roast.
If you do a google search for "Rails To Trails" you'll see this is happening all over the country. This means more and more Links and ride spots will be closed off.

Theres one called Snow Shoe Rails to trails in Clarence or Snow Shoe Pa. They allow quads. not sure about 3 wheelers. Maybe they will all start to allow atvs. Check out the link http://www.ssrt.org

We've been out exploring the last few fridays to find some better riding for when you guys head up. I gotta say we put on close to 50 miles and rite now I'm starting to feel every one of those.
