why???? the cannondale 440 was fast for what it was but the dimentions are way off for atrike frame unless usign a tri-zthat might work but then you have the reliability issue with the cannon dale motor thier just a tickign time bomb in my oppinion. i have yet yo have a good experiance with one. grab a decetn 450r and find a beat 350x and do itup easiest swap i have made.

Its the crank bearings that are the issue. You can run LTZ bearings no problem. The you get EFI and crazy power. LOL I have to say it though, with the proper maint. it would be as reliable as a 2 stroke with more power in stock form. Besides ATK has bought them and should have fixed the issues and I believe they run a motor that is close to the 440.

i have heard horror stories from everyone in my area that had cannondales, for $8000-$14000, they should be very reliable and wipe your ass too, lol.
i think since atk bought them out though they started addressing all those problems, but dont even know if they are still around, they kinda fell off the radar.
do like brapp said and throw a 450r in a 350x. i seen the vids and that thing has balls!! i would love to throw a leg over that.

yeah you can still get them for quite a price. ATK did fix the issues that cannondale never got around to. If you wanted to make one into a three wheeler the easiest way would be to find a cannondale dirtbike, the ATV swingarm with literally bolt up. A set of custom triples and forks, along with some other details and presto, aluminum frame EFI ATC
