Help Connecting rod bearing pooched

Howdy great trike site you have here,,
Anyways i just picked up a trike but its in ruff shape,, I had lots of trikes and this is the first i seen with a bad rod .. Its A 192CC ECT WITH ELECTRIC START,, SO 200E//
I THOUGHT IT WAS SIEZED AT FIRST SO I SOAKED IT ECT IN WD40 FOR A DAY OR TWO..
fINALLY GOT HER TURNING OVER BUT IT SOUND REAL BAD SO I TORE IT DOWN..Tpo see the
eXHAUST SIDE OF THE PISTON SCORED BADLY .,,tHIS MOTOR HAS BEEN REVED BADLY and THE WRIST PIN AND THE CONECTING ROD IS SLOPPY serous play WHaT I NEED TO KNOW is..
Anyone have any info/ links on how to change a connecting rod and specs. Diagrams on how to split the housing properly torque specs ect

There is a thread on here somewhere about downloadable service manuals. It might cost a buck or 2 for the download, but well worth it. Go to the "search" on the above tool bar and type in download or downloadable service manuals and see what pops up.

You can get a rod kit off ebay for like $40 but you'll need to take the crank to a local machine shop to get in put on your crank. I have a good used crank and piston i'll sell you cheap, you'll just need ring for it. Or i could sell you a whole bottom end for cheap, shipping might be high though. The rings can be found on ebay also for under $10 if you search enough.

I just had the rod bearing sieze in my 200x last week and was also thinking of buying a rod kit. Once I got the crank out, I noticed that the bearing pieces really dug into the crank. I would suggest buying a used crank because a new bearing wont last that long on a worn crankshaft. Heck, I just picked one up for 35 bucks which is alot cheaper than just rebuilding it.

YA i hear ya guys,, the main would be phucked forsure,,, So ya a new connecting rod or used on there wouldnt be the wisest choice either.. Hey i found a whole motor for a $50 from a friend.. I think even if it doesnt run or needs a piston and rings gaskets ect.. is my better choice.. Probly does run i sure like HONDA motors they usually are a tough little motor great advise.. Not just that i will have lots of interchange able parts cause the jug is in good shape the cam shaft looks great heads fine,,, Even the head gasket came apart nicely might be able to retorqe her down a lil more to reuse it ect.. hardly any wear on the timin chain on the plastic guides... SHAME ON SOME CLOWN that REVED THE PISS OUT OF IT OR RaN IT WITH LOW OIL WHO KNOWS heated up only onside of the piston... THAT MOTOR WOULD HAVE RAN FOR YEAR IN MY CARE LOL
anyways that about the size of it I HATE PEOPLE THAT THINK OH YA i got a race machine when they really have a workhorse.. BUY A TWO STROKE IF YOU WANT TO REV IT OUT....

The versa replacement rods come with the center section of the crank so thats not an issue
