    Studs or solid spacers???

Does anyone use the stud extenders instead of the solid type for spacing the rear wheels out? They seem to sell alot on ebay but not sure on the safety from an engineering point of view.

studs would be fine if you were going in a straight line and never leaving the ground. Get the solid spacers

I have the stud type on my 86 R. It gets ridden hard in the desert. won the desert race at the . org trike rally last year with them on. Lots of turns, whoops, jumps, rocks etc. Mine are CRJ studs and are pleanty strong.

Buy an axle, it will save you a lot of headaches and possible wheel loss. This happened on my R w/solid spacers they were tight when we left and worked loose during the ride, TC...
