    Dead Shock? 85 R

Hey guys, I got an 85 R, and I've been doing a few things with it like fixing up the wiring harness and a bit of work with the plastics n' that, but now I'm trying to get some of the bigger jobs done with it. The rear shock, its like there's no shock absorption there at all, its just the spring acting. I don't know if I should try to get the shock refilled, or if i should go and get a new one. I was also trying to find.. what's a reasonable price to pay for a used rear caliper for one of these? I also need some back brakes

So theres no compression and rebound your saying. I used a company in CA who rebuilds Honda shocks at very resonable cost and doesn't cut corners either. Let me see if I can find the #. Chances are if you find a used one for sale it wont be any better than yours.
    3 CR500R's and counting. Do I really need 4???
Do I really need 9 Tigers?

DO NOT send any thing to whats his face (dirt-face/crasher) here on the board. What a scum bag. He screwed (stole) money from me and screwed me on my ME360 and Hondaline 300R engine rebuilds.

when the shock is like a pogo stick, all of the oil leaked out due to the seal being shot.

you can get yours rebuilt, but the chrome shaft might be pitted and then you need to find another shock

Hey Newfiebish, are you a member on Newfoundland's "Sled-Headz" forum? Sign up and search for Mark Murray. He can rebuild it and does a great job. Had him rebuild my Raptor shock last season.
