    Polaris snowmobile need help

    well more like the engine. i baught an engine off ebay for $10 and nothing is wrong with it i just need carbs which i have on there way (banshee carbs). pipes again on there way and banshee pipes i will mod to fit. now i just need a cdi and coil. will a banshee coil fit? this motor is air cooled by the way maybe and early 70's so i need to id it i will get pis tonight but i believe it to be an early apollo. motor is going on a gokart project but i need the brain box before it gets running. if anyone has any experience at all with the older air cooled polaris 340cc motors let me know.

    I would just get the polaris coil and CDI

    Heres a pic of a 340 i just redid. .40 over, 36 flatslides, slightly ported, and i have SLP pipes.

    i am pretty shure denis kirk sells the cdi and coils for the older sleds.

    Try to find some numbers on the case and cylinders, should start out like EC-----. Could be from a colt, or if you're lucky a TX. Good score for 10 bucks.
