Thumbs down PLEASE HELP!!84'tecate ATC gas:oil question?

Hey, I recently picked up a 1984 Kawasaki KXT-A Tecate. I got all the parts on e bay and fabricated all my parts to restore this classic. Today my parts were delivered so tomarrow I get to go ride her!!! except i cant find what the required factory fuel mixture...

WHAT IS THE GAS:OIL FUEL MIXTURE FOR A 1984 kxt-a TECATE????????

also, its been awhile since i had a 2-stroker. I used to run klotz benoil it my pw,kx, and my honda 250r but i dont even see that around anymore. i know they are all good now a days but for you tecate guys and other 2 stoke riders; what is your prefered 2-cycle oil and do you notice a difference?

Sorry this quick question is so long, im just so astatic about tomarrows opening run. She doesnt have very many hours on it and has been sitting for 10+years. Thank you so much for ANY feed back!!

I can't help your mix question as I am not a 2-stroke guy but Welcome to 3 Wheeler World Thom! It is always good to see another NYer around. We are close so if you are looking for some riding we should get in touch, actually I am headed down to Binghamton tomorrow for some triking.

HOLY CRAP another 2 stroke oil thread.

depends on how you ride her.

Dont go leaner than 32:1 mix, but if you run her real hard, 20:1 is a good choice. if theres lots of black spooge/carbon/oil driping out of the silencer, you can lean her out a bit.

    Tecates rule! (in my opinion)

Obviously you're a new member here but as someone mentioned before you may want to use the "search button".

Some clown thought it would be fun earlier this week to post 3 different threads about two stroke oil in 2 days so, whatever.

The important thing is, Tecates rule! (in my opinion)

thanks for the good vibes. i can tell im with some good trike friends here. and "thefox" no *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* man... i didnt expect to find too many guys from NY around here(espesially so close) so we'll definetly stay in touch, maybe i can figure out how to add you to my buddies or something. Cause i can never find guys to ride with anymore but trails are FINALLY starting to open up alot of trails out here actually.

I just learned the search deal with this website, didnt mean to piss noone off. I know that can get pretty annoying pretty fast.

And yeah "fabiodriven" since the first time i layed my eyes on a tecate i thought they were one of the sweetest looking things ever.(though i might trade it for a 350x or 200x cause i love thumpers)

but to answer my own question i ran into a guy with a manual for the tecate and he looked it up and said the factory was 20:1. But oil wasnt as good back then as it is now for sure.

so now if i can just get her goin.. i cant seem to get the rpms up for somereason. I posted a little more on a different thread if anyone can help..

Thanks again for all the feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!!thrilled to be apart of this

I just checked my manual, and he was correct. It does say 20:1, but I have always ran 32:1 with Maxima Super M in both of my Tecates.

Which manual are you guys looking at? I have the Kawasaki factory Tecate manual and it says 30:1.

Interesting..I have the same exact manual and on page 1-5 it says 30:1. Is there a date on your manual at all? I can't find one on mine.
