I don't have the time right now to pull the engine for the new big bore,,, so the Bassani Pipe & Coffmans silencer went on. New gaskets, springs, and clamps! I'm waiting for my banshee petcock to arrive for that new clark tank, that should give me time for the new reeds and intake to go on next.

All weekend I rode my new (to me) 350x around my parents pasture to try t fid anything wrong with it before a trip to the sand dunes. Found a few loose things so far and bad carrier bearings that I am gonna run and replace when the trip is over. They arnt making noise yet...

    ......In the tree shade.......LOL!

So today I had some help... And it was nice out! We got the carb, intake, air filter and reed cage pulled out. Cleaned the airbox out, cleaned the carb, installed new intake, reeds, and put it back together.

It's always easier said than done, the new reed cage and billet intake are much thicker than stock stuff... Had to make it all fit.... I'm prolly going to eliminate the airbox and go with a K&N filter w/outware in the near future.

Tomorrow I'm getting the petcock, fuel filter and new lines installed. Hopefully the green machine will breath fire once again!!!

Mine are 8x6, not 6x8. My bad. Needed a weird size for the 16x7.5-8 Carlisle R/A's. Actually considered a front wheel lol. Rears are .125" thick (not bad) and the front is .190 (pretty dang thick)
What I dont like is that the two rears cost LESS than one front. Just stupid IMO. Probably because the front is a specialty size

That's why I'm running a 10x5 inch front with a modified hub and a two piston caliper with a lower profile to clear the matching thickness A5, almost same price on a front. I wish I had seen the black wheels for 5 bucks more a piece but oh well there's always next time.

Got the rear tires on the rims today, they're OK but once they wear out I'm going to try to go even more narrow on the rear. These will do for now. I may swap this wheel and tire combo to another project and order the black wheels......

I change my mind a lot on these type of things.

Snuck out into the country roads and feilds and put about 1 1/2 hours on my 350x, this after an oil+filter change, new spark plug, rebuilt carb and clean air filter.. Jetted a little it ran pretty good but is a tad lean on topend so I gotta up my main jet a few.. Im proud of my x though, it idled and ran real strong just like I remember em..

New fork boots, fuel lines, reused OEM Tecate Petcock, changed plug, and making an aluminum bracket to mount a kx rear master cylinder.

Had some free time to make an aluminum bracket for my kx? or similar rear master cylinder. Everything looks like it will clear the kick start. I need to install the rear caliper and brakeline, bleed the brakes, check all fluids. I'm hoping to start it up and ride it for the first time.

Upd my main jet on my 350x to a 148. let it warm up and took it down the road and back, it ran alot smoother and cooler I think. It may need to go up a few more but its getting there. A few more parts and it will be ready for trail season this summer.. Gorman OHV Park here I come!!!
