    Just curious

    A friend of mine wants to do a tecate project. Was just curious how much the '84/'85 Tecate plastic gas tanks go for? He will be needing one.

    I just found 3 of them at a place near me. The guy said they were anywhere from $50 to $70 each.

    Unless it is NOS (which I have never seen one). They are very reasonable, I have an extra green one here, and I wouldn't expect to get much for it.

    I just remembered- one of the board members told me last week he has a red one lying aorund. Let me know if you're interested and I can see what he wants for it.

    The ones I found are faded and didnt have the gas caps for them. The one still had the Kawasaki decal on it. Just thought I would check to see what if the price was to high or not.

    They are all faded, between the gas staining them and the sun doing its share. You just have to pick the best that you can find. There are vinyl covers for them on Ebay quite a bit if you watch. There was also a member on here a while back that was making plastic covers for the green ones, not sure about the red ones.
