Those jetfires used water injection instead of an intercooler to keep the intake temperatures down. Essential with a turbo. The consumption is the use of the water that is injected. Well its water mixed with an antifreeze actually. They called it that brand name and sold it in the dealer.
So no, Olds definitely didnt solve the fossil fuel useage all those years ago![]()
