Guys did u know that u could put a big bore kit in a 250SX that bumps displacement from 246cc to approximately 300cc ?? That's what i read in this website :
http://users.nlamerica.com/dixiebai/atv/html/sx1.html
It's a complete restoration of a 1985 250SX :o
And read it well, u'll see...
And after it's 300cc, u could put a 2mm oversize piston, a pipe and a K&N air filter, u would have an awesome trike :-P

Thanks for the link. For some reason it looked firmilar; but I don't remember them mentioning the big bore kit. Sorry to burst your bubble though, you couldn't run a 2mm overbore piston like mine with that big bore kit because it appears they get the 300cc from all bore. The point is, I want that kit! Well maybe, if its stock compression hhmm, I dunno. Anyone know where these things are still avalible?Originally Posted by 250SX_rider

I found that link when I still had my SX. I had no luck what so ever in getting the 300cc big bore kit. I tried emailing the company and the makers of the site at least five times. Not once did I get a reply so I gave up. I would enjoy having that kit also. It would be awesome!!!!!![]()

"third the 250sx was not designed to be a hop up model. by the time you spend all that money on performance parts along with the sx you could have bought a 350X that will much better even if box stock and worn out."
ya but then you wouldnt have auto clutch, reverse, shaft drive and super low first gear
that is what i think of non 3-wheelers
you just dug up a three year old thread to make a smart remark to mr atc....
lol...YOU SIR ARE A GOD!
don't have a super low first huh? tell ya what, let's hook a 350x to a 250x and see who drags who around the yard.
that's a easy one the sx would probably win, it's heavier and lower than the 350x, the 350x would either spin or you would stand it up on the grab bar. these are both big torque machines but the sx would simply have more traction due to dead weight especially on the rear wheels
thats not how i wanted it to come across so ill re-phrase what i said, the reason somepeople might not want to change over to a 350x is that some of the 250sx features are very useful in tight quarters or hauling. sorry if i came across as a smartass
p.s. i didnt know this was an old thread i just searched it up
that is what i think of non 3-wheelers
we are trying to get a group buy in some weisco pistons for the 250 sx/es series motor. there's a thread about it.

the piston isn't still available...since when?
called weisco friday. they said they do not have them. they have the 4v but not the 2v that the SX and ES use.![]()
