    lonestar stem clamp
    lonestar bar clamp
    pwr radiator
    omf air scoops
    new maier plastics
    ac racing grab bar
    ac racing front bumper
    ac racing nerf bars

    lrd exhaust
hinson clutch, basket, quick change cover
    nacs water pump
the quad has american racer tires on it and douglas wheels
    and more stuff"

what do i have to do to raise it back up for the woods?
he says the shocks can be adjusted back up. im not sure about that i never had pep shocks but i think they are too short.
he can only make me a bill of sale. aftermarket frame with a vin but he has no paperwork on it. this sound right? anyone have a lonestar frame out there?

To me, no matter what now. No title= parts bike here in WA. I got lucky and had some nice users, but now it dont fly here in WA, if your caught with no title/registration/paperwork, that means your ****ed and they take it away.

I will say this about the quad, thats a great setup for a flat tracker. If your going over rocks and bumps, be ready for some new skid plates. PEP shocks have NO adjustable travel from what I have ever seen. That quad, I would trade for my Honda Pilot, its perfect for flattracking and jumps, the woods? If they do adjust on the travel, then get some dirt tires and your set.

Have the number checked at you local BMV,See what it takes to title it,It shouldnt be a issue.

To set it back up,remove the lowering link and front sway bar set-up and shocks.Ebay them, and buy you some works shocks for MX/Trail,and get some 20 to 22 inch tires on there. You may not have to change the PEP shocks, maybe just re-adjust them.

But verify the serial number on the frame. My friend had a LSR chassis,And got it titledno problem here in Ohio.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

i think i see the dog bone in the 3rd pic, i doubt it has a cr500 shock.

i have one on my custom 350rx and it gives 13'' of travle....not the kind of thing you want to pay for then slam it to the ground.

again, i cant tell but in the first pic it looks like it has double spring front shocks....if it does maybe they just removed the third spring to lower it. (250r front shocks have 3 springs)

lift the front end off the ground and see how far the wheels drop....if im right the springs will get loose. if they dont you will have to open up the shocks and take out the internal spacers to get the shafts to drop farther down, and then get a third spring.

after market frames werent titeled but the number is there so i guess you could.

they come without paper work since its just a part and not a hole bike. the first thing you are going to want to tear off is if your not on a smooth flat road like surface is that sway bar.

Paperwork would be the last thing I would worry about. How about losing 20 years and a load of value? 07 450's still have some worth where I have seen totaly worked 250r's for less than $2500. I think its a horrible deal for you but if you want a 250r that bad its up to you, Not to mention the money you have to spend to make a trail/motocrosser back out of it. Just my $.02

Paper work in my neck of the woods is crucial. If you dont have it and your caught, they take it away, regardless.

but the fact is that its a race part on a race bike......built for track time only, hence no paper work.

they do have a number stamped into them from the factory but thats just so they know when they built that frame if there ever was a problem.

but like i said a person should be able to use that number and get a new title

my HRE frame has no number, i asked him about it and he said if i wanted to get it lisenced i could stamp in whetever number i wanted and go for a reconstructed title.

i dont know about that but its a headach the aftermarket frame builders dont want to deal with.

I am curious why you want to trade a new 450 for an old 250r? I wonder this because I have also very seriously been concidering getting rid of my 525 Outlaw and buying a 250r. I have been thinking about if for awhile now. Not real sure why then the the fact the 250r is awesome in handling and comfortable to ride. Also they are cheap to build big hp, now that I don't pull wrenches all the time it would be fun to start moddign another machine. Of all the machien I have bought, sold, traded I miss my 85 R the most so I have been concidering buying a TRX R and maybe a another atc R.
I had the RIGHT to remain silent, I didn't have the ability!

when it comes to bang for buck you can't beat an old worked up 250R. Thats why I bought that laeger TRX I have instead of going for a new 450.

I've had an r and I now have a 450r. My opinion is that my 450 reminds me a lot of my 250r with one bonus point being that it's a 4 stroke. I like to ride my toys more than work on them. Just my .02cents
