    Tri-Z Swinger?

    Are 1985 and 1986 Swing arms the same on Tri-Zs? They look the same but wanted to know for sure.

    no and yes, but they will bolt on to either years..

    the 86 swing-arm have some reinforcment parts on it...near where the shock link bolt on it...and i think, but i'm not sure...the bearing are different..someone else here on the board can confirm that!!

    85 swingers run a larger diameter pivot bearing,bushings and seals.Fit that year only...
    The 86 swinger runs smaller diameter stuff,and uses the same pivot bearings as banshee and blaster.You can use a banshee pivot bolt in either year of the tri-z.
    other than that,and the added gussets on the 86,they are identical.
    Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

    So a 85 will bolt up to my 86? I just need to order bearing and seals for an 85?

    Yes!
    You will need 2 bearings, 2 inner seals and 2 inner bushings.Expensive from the dealer...

    Better yet,Just contact (X system) here on the site.He makes nylon pieces that replace all the factory garbage,and will save you money.
