If you can find the 2 wires that are it's output, you can check for a voltage spike every time the rotor goes past it.

so i got the new pickup coil today and installed it tonight...she fired right up that was the problem....50$ later runs like new...thanks for the help

i purchased it from Mr. Cycles it was 43 i think when they wanted 70 for it at my local honda dealer. just took a little longer to get here but it was worth it.
