    KXT Questions

So I'm well on my way to getting an '85 T-3, and I just wanted to know how the layout feels compared to an '85 200X. Does it feel higher or lower; bigger or smaller? How does the handling compare? I feel really comfortable on my X, and I would be pretty happy if it were the same or better in some aspects. Also is the powerband anything like an '85 KX250? The powerband on those things is like a light switch, and I was hoping the KXT would be a little more usable. Thanks.

A good comparison would be a wheel chair compared to the space shuttle.

well if your happy and comfortable on the 200x, you should be comfortable on an 85 t3. as for the power, the 85 t3 does have an unpredictable powerband that does take some getting used to. they have quite a punch tto them. and yeah that is a good comparison!
1985 KXT 250 Tecate - kx cylinder, kx ignition, bassani headpipe, answer silencer, v-force reeds, 38mm airstyker carb, +2 franks swinger, raptor rear shock.

    1996 YSF240 Blaster - maxxed out!!!

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY SH-T, what a ride!"

They are more usable than the KX's... but still a bit pipey.. '83-'85 Kx's have a different exhaust port which contributes alot to the lightswitch.. The Tecates also have a much heavier flywheel to tame down the hit...
