    transmision or clutch??

I was out riding my 85 250r last night and every time I would gas on it and shift gears it would slip into nuetral before going into the next gear. But if you dont beat on it, it doesnt do it? Is this a clutch problem or is it the tranny starting to go? All info would be helpful. thanks

Sounds like clutch is slipping, but either way, youre going to have to take it apart and look, and teh clutch sidecover is a good place to start.

does that (goes into neutral) when you dont make a perfect shift too!!! when your riding hard (gas, clutch, shifter, gas) you might not be pulling the shifter up far enough!!!
