New to the board
Does anyone reccomend a certain shop or better yet, a private guy who does good work? I live near Albany n.y. and the guy to did work on my sx has moved down to FLA... My problom is that I only have minnimal knowledge, and only a few tools.My clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced due to my riding it abit more than I should have.

ppj250sx, get a manual and do it yourself. I just had that side of the engine removed on my buddy's SX just last week. There's nothing to it. Buy the gaskets ahead of time, and you can do it in a couple of hours. Remember, the centrfigal clutch nut has left hand threads! Better yet, find somebody on here that's close to you, and have them help. Bring it to Indiana, I'll do it.

Thanks smvrndran.Tried my hand at an 185s engine a few years back and all I got was grief from my friend.Knew he was moving and he tried to get me going on my own,however,I did everything wrong and did go back to it a few times and still did wrong . Dont have it in the mechanic sense-

I don't know of any shops around you, but mapquest puts you 2:15 away from me so if it comes down to it load it up and bring it over. We can change out the clutch then bring the trikes over to my friends and test it out. I think there are a couple of board members around you so maybe they can point you in the right direction.
