    Talking Found a 70!

    I was at the atv junk yard today because the Turfbuster I got the other day wasnt working out on the front of my 83 Red so I exchanged it for a smaller tire/wheel and I picked up my sled(80 Artic Cat Pantera 500)
    The guy was needing some help moving some non running wheelers and I stayed way late helping him and was getting ready to head out and thought what the hell,Ill just ask again?
    He has a early 70,thinks it is the first year they made them?
    Needs a muffler and a seat for $275.00 and it runs(He wanted $400.00 last time I asked)LOL!
    I gave him a deposit and will pick it up next month
    Best part is I can sneak it home in the hatch back so the better half wont know about it until I can think up a good story

    Women dont understand why a guy need's more than one trike/4 wheeler/what ever toy your into for some reason???
    I guess if we told them it keeps us out of the bars,away from all those loose women trying to pick us up and at home in the garage tinkering on our toys maybe they would be more understanding LOL

    Laegers ATC500R
    DO NOT send any thing to whats his face (dirt-face/crasher) here on the board. What a scum bag. He screwed (stole) money from me and screwed me on my ME360 and Hondaline 300R engine rebuilds.

    Congrats on getting one of those fun buggers! I got one and couldnt stop, as I have 6 now haha.
    Now the problem with the one you got, is finding a seat and pan for it. You can use the newer seat foam for it, but the seat pan is the issue. I have only seen one anywhere lately and it went to 120$. I am still working on fabing one that will work with the early model.

    That's funny, hauling a trike home in your hatchback to fool the wife. I'm very lucky with my wife, she just bought an 85 R a couple months ago. She loves them. If we had a 70, I guarantee you she would try to ride it to work. LOL

    LOL,It's so tiny with the seat down you would hardly see it!
    I brought the Red and my R home in the Safari van,the R just fit;
    I guess the seat pans are about like the pan for my 82 R,hard to find and expensive
