I hear the 300EX motor fits the 350X chassis without much difficulty, How close are the motor components? It would be nice to have E-start and reverse from the EX, do top end parts interchange?

SOMEONE here allready did a full 300ex 350x swap.... I cant remember who though... hes in NC though... im sure of that... or well I think I am
none of the top end motor parts interchange.
I'm doing the exact opposite swap a 300ex with a 350x trike motor. 2 off the motor mounts are off. the lower front one and the upper back one below the carb. the lower one on a 300ex motor is a inch wider then the 350x and the upper back one is shifted a inch to the one side. they line up just wrong left to right.
the 250x quad kicker stuff works on a 300ex but you have to machine the 300ex side cover to accept it. the spots there just molded shut. you CANNOT use the 250x cover it has different oil passages. WE figured this out back in 1994 on a guys 300ex he used the 250 cover and his tranny and stuff blew apart after a couple races. lack of oil is bad![]()

i was bidding on stuff from that guy the kit went for $205 little steep for me. got outbid at the last second on all the sprockets + chains they went for $105. i won the chrome pegs for $1 and the 250r quad tie rod ends for $30
i'm just going to make the exhaust myself that was the only part i really wanted. going to use a 400ex Paul turner head pipe and cut it all up and stuff and make it work. the 300ex had a 4" racing series Supertrapp on it with the discs so i'm using that silencer.

There is a 300EX for sale locally for $400 that has a good lower end but needs a top end, I was thinking of getting it and parting the roller then building the motor for my 350X. The quad has a few aftermarket parts but its not a really high dollar machine.

the kit is a joke, and powroll wants you to cut 1/2 the rear upper mount off the case.
over time this will tear off.....iv had it happen .
search my threads started to see the strongest way to mount a 350x in a 250x and you'll get an idea of how a 250x fits in a 350x.....NEVER cut cases to fit a motor
