    Question 1981 Honda Atc Seat

Ok...does Anyone Know Where I Could Find A Seat For A 1981 Atc 200. Or A Seat Pan..?? The 3 Wheeler Is In Great Shape. The Seat Is Not.

Lets have some photos. Also, take the foam and seat cover off and check the condition of the pan. If needed, weld some fresh metal in where the pan is rusted through. Use the old seat cover for a pattern. Ie: seam rip the old seat cover, lay it out on some Marine Grade vinyl in the color of your choice and cut the pieces about 1/2 inch bigger than the pattern then sew it all together.

Also, can make a new seat form from 3 or 4 inch block foam found in most fabric stores.

The seat pan is rotted out. I have the foam and seat cover off. Well the seat cover was already falling off because the lip of the pan is in such bad shape

185s and 200 metal pans are hard to find in good shape and they bring good money when you do find them.

Edit: Is that a pic of the pan as your avatar? It looks plastic.

In that case, you might have to manufacture one, or refurb the one you have with some good aluminum (so it doesn't rust through again) or some stainless steel. Might cost a pretty penny at a welder/fabricator, but probably less than spending on a new to you seat pan, that probably has rust anyway.

You might want to take your old seat pan (if you don't do welding yourself) down to a welder/fabricator and get a quote. Around here they charge about $70 an hour. Seat pan shouldn't take more than 2 to do. Mostly need the right curve, some holes for draining and you can install the old seat clips/ latch yourself with nuts and bolts.

You said it was a 200, so it probably has the little metal teeth all around the edge of the pan... Either get a really good manual staple gun (if you do the refurb/ refab route) or some self tapping short sheet metal screws.
