    Swingarm and axle

The swingarm wasn't bad at all, the bearings are in great shape, no wobbles, and the both the swinger and the axle are perfectly straight. Mainly it was just the looks of the setup, I bead blasted both of them and sanded the axle on the wood lathe till it was smooth, I wish I could find some PK performance plus decals again, I saved one of them, but I'm thinkin a decal company could remake me one since they can do drawings and what not. I also used that 36 tooth Sprocket specialists sprocket I just polished it.

    More Pics!

Here's a closer pic of the swingarm and shock. Some of you were also probably wondering why I tore apart a good 3-wheeler well the answer to that is the trike was far from GOOD. The front forks were bent really bad, no front brakes to begin with, where the rear drums slid into the swingarm was so loose it wobbled like crazy, the frame broke cause it had already been welded, The silencer bolts in the frame were stripped so it was wired up and alway falling off, and pretty much everything else was zip-tied or jimmy rigged in some way so I basically started from scratch. I just figured I'd mention that cause I know how some feel about leavin things stock, but I just thought instead of replacing it with stock parts that were probably in the same shape anyway, replace them with better, newer, or aftermarket parts. The main thing that used to drive me nuts about it was when it was wide open and the silencer fell off. I'm sure many of you can relate to the sound of a 250r with no silencer "Louder than a in a tin bucket!!!"

Thanks Thats exactly how the original fenders look that were on it. They go about halfway up and taper off from other ice-racers rubbin up against it I suppose.

That is a pretty trick looking machine. I'm kind of partial to the wide tire fronts of the early R's though. I was kind of thrown off by the title of "complete resto" . Customized and Freshened up definitely. I remember when those first hit the showroom floors new.
