The Davison area is about 10 miles east of Flint and is a pretty nice area.

Flint and the surroundings areas are not that great. Flint consistently rates in the top 10 with Detroit for violent crimes. Trust me I know.
In Mt. Morris just north of Flint, a 6 year old boy brought a gun to school and in the middle of class jumped up on a girls desk and shot her dead because he did not like her.

They looked like some nice houses from the googleworld satellite view...not that I have ever been there.
