1982 250r resto

Well I have had a alot of requests for more pics of my 82 250r ever since I posted the brief pics of the brake mods I did. Shes not quite done yet I still need a dark blue seat cover get the cylinder put on and finish my tank but other than that its done. Took pics on my phone so they are not the greatest.

old school aluminum foot pegs
bassani exhaust
dico intake
86 250r flatslide carb
ported and polished
aluminum front wheel for original 4 bolt hub
duglas aluminum wheels in back with fast trekkers
88-89 trx250r grab bar (moded frame to fit)
white plastics
crf250 number plate
aluminum fly handle bars
all new bearings and seals everywhere
rebuilt original front and rear suspension
blue oring chain
new paint

Ha when its done I will grab the better camera!. Im going to say give me 2 weeks at the most and she will be done for good everything but maybe the seat.

I like what you have done with the 250r, but I wouldn't call it a resto. Refurbished really nice yes, but resto...? Resto is what OC and only a few others on here have done. Resto, to me anyway is making it right down to the nuts and bolts. Heck, a few guys on here have gone past resto to make the trike even nice than when it was new. Some people have been misusing resto or restore lately. I'm refurbishing my Tiger 250 by tearing it down to every nut and bolt and powdercoating the frame and parts and such, but it is far from a resto. Just a really nice and fresh rider. And it will have a ton of nos stuff on it, well, some of the parts are still being made and you can pick them up from any number of places, but in no way shape or form do I have any nos pvc fenders or any really decent pvc fenders for that matter. So I won't do others on here a disservice by calling it a resto.
