    Rich, lean, or Ok?

The plug in my 200 big red has been comming out a bit tan/brown. From looking at pictures and descriptions of different plug problems, I can't find exactly what is causing the tan/brown on the plug. It could either be deposits in my gas, or a rich condition. I also thought it could lean. I know my gas does have a bit of dissoved rust in it from the tank, and during the summer it was runnning a bit rich. Could there be another problem? I can get pics of the plug if you need them.

It's not realy tan, it looks like rust, but it is smooth. The pics make it look lighter. This is after not much running.

I might leave it where it is for now because it is winter, it will get richer when the weather warms up. If I wanted to make it leaner would I do that by rasing the needle on the slide, or by adjusting the mixture screw on the outside of the carb?

lowering the needle (raising the clip) will make it lean
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

your leanign out for the winter looks lie, raise it by lowering the clip 1 notch on the needle and your set.

dude, your funny. You know how many people wish their plugs would come out like that. Your cool, leave it alone. If you keep looking for a problem, you will find one, but end up causing a bigger one in the process.

I think I will leave it where it is, because in the summer it was running rich and fouling out plugs every couple rides.
