Looking for a better shock for my 85 250sx. I know they don't make much for them, so anyone have any ideas? Any other model that will work?

They do make a works shock for them for about 300$.
MAX bought one and thought it was mucho better than stock.
Overall, I love the/my SX but it has it's limitations. Although it's powerful, shifts clutch-less and has reverse - it CAN jump but a stock shock in good shape matches it well.
I broke a few swingers and bent a couple of axles before I gave up and bought other models that suited my riding style better................

im using one for a 250ex, works better imo, the top bushing needs to be grinded down some
