'85 Honda Big Red - Air Box Question

Was cleaning out the air box and noticed a hole in the bottom, Is this stock?

Also I'm sure this filter is original. Not too dusty but should I just replace the filter?

    Thanks!

The hole is just a drain for the airbox. I would replace the filter if you think its the original, get a Uni or something.

if your filter is not dry rot, or to filthy i would just clean it with some gas or something dry it real good, lube it with some gear oil, and reinstallit. stock filters are the best if your not looking for performance, and a new one is probably around 30.00

I use Simple Green to clean my filters. Spray it down, let it soak, and hose it off. Works great.

I try to keep 2 air filters for each machine I own. Keep one on the bike, and always have a spare one cleaned up, DRY, and ready to go. Then I just alternate them each time. Just don't forget to lube it before installing.
