I had a honda 200e that was a bit worse than that. The piston and rings where from a different engine, so they didn't take the oil off the the cylinder as the piston went down, but it somehow had very good compression.

spend a few bucks pullthe top end do gaskets and seals and if the cylinder is beat have it bored and do piston and rings, pay close attention to the cam journals they are usualy the first to go if the oil hasnt been changed or run low on oil. and get it runnign good and then plastics seat cover and one piece at a time.

My 200x was like that when I bought it. Once I tore into it I saw the piston had cracked and a big chunk was missing lol. But it still ran fine! Just smoked like a train. The guy I bought it from put new valves and valve seals in it but didn't bother to check the piston. When he slapped it all back together and it still smoked he was pissed and put it up for sale.
