Around here it's not. He will not get that here.
I contacted him and told him straight up that he would be lucky to get that for it, nice as it may be, unless he's willing to ship it to mid-west, the west coast or New England....where those prices are more common.
I passed up a cherry, original, '86 R in '04 for $1500 locally(couldn't afford it mainly) from a guy that I bought a great rider '85 off of for $900 the same week. I've seen '86 Tecates change hands here for $350(needing stator/flywheel), '86 Tri-Z's looking good and running good for $750, '86 350X (near cherry...black rear fender skirts intact!))needing a countershaft for $300...etc.....
Bought a very cherry '84 YTM 200E here a few years ago for $275!
Guess E-bay pricing is finally infiltrating the rural southern market....since then
There was an '88 LT250 with Trinity motor, fresh powdercoating/polishing/flawless NOS plastic all the way around that sold for $1300 not far from me this week.
sidenote: I know where one Cagiva is and have a name/town of the guy I sold(practically gave ...pre-internet) mine to in the '90's....total Cagiva count:2(potentially) ...both within 35 miles of me. I'm going to contact them, .......I just hope they don't know what they've got. Got a line on some Cagiva parts/possible roller also, just no flippin' money.
