Are these bikes the same as the 81 and 82's? I've never ridden a air-cooled one till I went to look at one for sale the other day. It didn't really impress me, but if it had been in good shape I might have owned it.

only the motors are the same and the 83 was imoroved from the 81/82 motor. the chassie is completely differant
