    83 Yamaha 225 DX

First off let me say Hi to all, love this forum. Well its time for a rebuild! So I just bought a 225 DX, had an internal rattle, tore it down and guess what? Piston was slapping the cylinder wall! Wrist pin was loose as well. Wondering how this could happen, I pulled the motor, looked in the drive shaft tube and low and behold there was a gapping hole torn in the swing arm!!!! Anyways looks like no one took care of this classic ride. What I need is the torque specs. Anybody have this info? Getting a manual soon, but I might get the hardware back from the shop before the manual gets here. Thanx and safe wheelin

Hi, I can try the scan of the torque specs from my Clymer manual if you want.

Thanx Yamada, I know my son will be happy to get his ride finished. We ride as much as we can. He hasn't had a dependable ride ever! Hopefully this will be the one. Keep wheelin!
