KTM power

[trike moto]

has any one seen or put a KTM motor in a trike ?? 2 or 4 stroke i am a service tech at a KTM and kawasaki shop and i picked up a KTM300xc 2 stroke motor to day and plan on putting it in a trike but i do not have a chassis yet all i have is my 225dx and I'm not cutting it up!! i am working on buying a 530xcr 4 stroke bike that is wrecked my be a good trike power plant also!!!

yea theres a member here that has a KTM 540 in a older Teate frame, looks wicked and im sure it goes wicked to, unfortunatly I cant remember there name.

KTMs are one awesomely made bikes. I have a 300EXC and would love to put that motor in a trike, if I didnt love the bike so much! Maybe thats something I can look into for the 86 tecate frame I have.

I have seen this bike in person and holy on a stick, this is by far one of the coolest bikes I have ever seen, he had 2-4 other tecates scatter across the shop 2 red ones and 1 green one and probably a whole other bike in parts. His rear sprocket setup was cool too.

I would like to put a 300 into an atc250r, I love the dirtbikes too much. If I bought the bike, I most likely would keep it as a bike, if some chance I got the motor, bike, carb and wiring sheap, I would consider it.

KTM makes great engines.. I would love to have a 380sx in a trike... great hp without the overwhelming torque of a 500...

I would LOVE to have a KTM 300 XCW-E or its motor for my Tecate. That would be one nice trail rider IMO and I've always thought about it.
