250ES question

I was just recently givin a 250ES that has one of the best
Lookin set of plastics and frame I've seen in a while. The engine
Needs work though it will start and idles good once it starts
Smokes only right after u start it. The valves sound louder than
I'm used to but that could be because I'm used to the 200's.
I'm wondering what would be a round about price to rebuild
The engine?

well a rebuilt top end on a 250 is probebly goign to run in the $400 range for a stocker redo. the parts are a little more than a 200 due to not as common. and that's with you doing the work yourself.
