I just picked up an 85 sx a week or so ago and I am also currently rebuilding a Tecate. The bike isn't in bad shape. I picked it up for $500. New fuel and air filter and fresh gas and oil and she is a brute! I love it. Very torquey and def has enough speed for trails. Only problem.... My dif fluid looks that fluid and I can't get it clean... I go through muddy puddles and cross creeks but it was sludge when I got it. Is there a way to clean this all out so it's good agin or does it have to Ben taken apart like the pick you have to clean it?? Still runs great. But I can't ride knowing its dirty and possibly hurting something
