Got alot more glass beading done yesterday on Jim's stuff. Started tapping out threads in his 200x triple before powdercoating them only to find out one thread was stripped and not salvageable. So off I went repairing the thread with a timesert.

    Stripped thread. Bottom hole.

Drilled out and ready for counterbore.

    Counterbored for insert.

    Threaded for insert.

    M8x1.25 timesert installed. All fixed.

Since Jim is using a 200x front end we needed to install the stops created for the frame. Had a good buddy tig them in top and bottom. Frame is now finally ready for POWDERCOAT!!!!!

they take there sweet little time,i have been ording stuff from them for the last 2 months and they wont even tell you if its on back order .but there price is right if you order a good bit stuff,if not the shipping sucks.usually takes about two weeks for me to get my parts from them.

Me too, just about 7 buisness days. I usually call the next day after I order online and ask them whats discontinued, otherwise you sometimes can't plan ahead or make changes for the parts that are discontinued and you get the "surprise" when you open the box

75% of the time I get an email telling me whats gone, but not always......

    Refinished a few parts

Spent sometime the other day refinishing some parts for Jim's junkyard SX. Since the service honda order came in, I went to work.

Everyone seems to always have issues putting calipers together. Getting old ones apart. Blah Blah Blah. How do you get the pistons out? How do you put them in. Yhatta Yhatta.

Its very important to make sure these calipers slide and FLOAT!!!. Get them blasted get the sleeves out and get them shined up and greased really good.

These parts fit together and slide together. Very important.

Just like any other build that I do or anything I work on, OEM is for me. Got to have what it came with. Lets be honest. Were approaching 30 yr old trike status. This stuff is old, tired, dry rotted, seized, stripped, etc. REPLACE IT WITH OEM WHILE ITS AVAILABLE!

    LUBE LUBE LUBE.

    Finished product.

Brakes. Well there essential. Gotta have them. Here is the front master cylinder that I powdercoated and got ready for rebuild.

    Ready to roll.

Also replaced all the perch components, springs, adjuster, lever, and sping for parking brake lever. Going to need a nice set of handle bars to put this junk on JIMBO!
