    Lifan Advice

    Looking at Lifan options for my 70 roller? Is the manual clutch a big deal to revamp? Should I go sissy auto? na, any pics of the clutch reconfiguration on a 70 or idea of the parts I would need? Also, should I go 125 or the 110 3 valve ? Another ???, can ct suspended fork be rigged up on atc 70 triple trees? Or if not, what is the best gig to shock up a atc 70??? a wheelie a day keeps the insanity away! on3eatin4.........

    why would you go with that motor and go away from original???have a 85 atc 70 looking to put a newer and bigger set of forks and maybey bore the motor just dont understand the other motor type..

    Clutch part is easy, Dr ATV has the cables and any universal lever will work. Tough part is the brakes, either move it to the right side of the bar (that is hard to get used to) or make a foot brake setup, Kasey has made a nice one up before.

    because a 125cc lifan manual clutch in a 70 has enough torque to dump the clutch in first, and it'll take off no throttle.

    3-4x the hp and torque.

    125cc on a 70 = more fun than a 300r in an if you ask me. It's just soo damned small!

    Id say get ahold of a crf50 motor, and get a 108 stroker for it from trailbikes. It will rip.

    Dude, why don't you hold up a few days till you have rode some of our flat track trikes, I have several and I know the other guys will be happy to let you take a spin on just about any thing that shows up, my smallest motor is a 114cc and they go up to 160cc, as far as why use a china copy,you can buy a whole motor for less than a bore and storke kit, been there done that, not that they don't run good, its cost per performance

    I ran into this problem, but like most of the other guys I just push start mine. I have had several lifans but they where all electric start before. I was amazed how easy mine started. I literally rolled it about 6 feet and it started the first time when I first got it together. Kick start is really not needed.

    Go after market for sure! Like race demon said its ALOT cheaper and easier to buy a big motor than screw with a stock one. I have a 140cc motor in mine and its alot of fun. If you make it down here this week you can check ours out and see what you think.
